Planning ahead: the sport of my thirties

I’ve said this many times before but this may be the first time I’ve blogged about it. I consider basketball to have been the sport of my teens and ultimate frisbee to be the sport of my twenties. I play a bunch of other sports but these were certainly the two primary sports. Recently it has become clear to me that I may need to find a new primary sport for my thirties. On Saturday I had two ultimate frisbee games. They completely knocked me out. I went to bed at 9pm and slept in until 9am Sunday morning!

Now I have three years before I actually enter my thirties so I’m planning way ahead of time. I’m like that. Here’s the (alphabetical, no ordering implied) list of potential sports I’ve compiled: cycling (I imagine this gets at least one vote), running, softball, swimming, tennis, volleyball and yoga.

I vote for biking, followed by running. I myself am pretty close to 30..and I’m enjoying biking and running a lot. Also, the way I look at it..soon I will have a family(hopefully) and these are the kinda sports that are enjoyable as a family too.

BTW.. you don’t know me. But I don’t know, somehow I ended up in your blog and then from the picture I can tell that I took a class with you long time ago.. Math 239 taught by bill cunningham…I’m pretty sure you were in that class.
