Jingle Bell Run 2005
This morning I ran the Jingle Bell Run. It was a fun spirited run with lots of people running in Santa hats and other Christmas costumes. I only managed to attach jingle bells to my running shoes. The course runs through downtown Seattle and then along the I-5 express lanes. As we entered the tunnel to the express lanes some runners around me started singing “Jingle Bells.” It was good Christmas fun.
The race wasn’t chip timed so I don’t know my exact time but I’m estimating it at 28:05. I crossed the finish line at 28:35 and I think it took me about 30 seconds between when the horn sounded and when I actually crossed the start line. That’s a nice improvement (4.5%) over my Dawg Dash time. More importantly though, I felt really strong while I was running and I had a great time.
Great to hear you had a great run today.
I am spending the whole day at the Orchard’s trying to help them with the twins.
