Bridesmaid dresses or bridesmaid stresses
For a change of pace here’s a post that isn’t about the half-marathon!
My best friend from high school Angie is getting married in less than three months and I’m her maid of honour. Over the past few months we’ve been having a heck of a time getting bridesmaid dresses sorted out. We like to call them bridesmaid stresses. You try finding a dress that flatters girls of heights 6’0″, 5’9″ and 5’3″. However as of today all three girls have dresses and while two of us need alterations things are looking up. Here are three views of my dress. It needs alterations in the fit and we’re going to chop it down to “tea length” (just below the knee). The dress is actually much bluer (it’s called cornflower blue) than it looks in these pictures but you get the general idea.
Angie has obviously been putting a lot of work into planning her wedding. As maid of honour I wish I could be more helpful but it’s hard to do much from a distance. I’m most disapointed that I wasn’t able to help out with the cake testing last weekend! However I’ll be around the week before the wedding to help with all the last minute details.
You look FAB!!
I am glad to hear all the dress craziness worked out!
